Washington Theatre Group presents their annual pantomime!
Well what do you know, our dashing (if somewhat baffled) hero Robson, has just a few days to find his family’s long lost treasure or he’ll lose his ancestral home Downsize Abbey!
Who better to help with this quest than his manservant Bob and his cook Barely Merry? Together they charter a ship full of jolly sailors – but are they really sailors?
Come and help Robson evade his evil brother Seaton Carew and escape form the desert island. Marvel at the magic of Tia Maria the sea witch, and laugh along with the pirate’s (ahem correction sailor’s) cute and clever ship’s monkey. Sing the songs, watch the dancers, catch the sweets and say ‘yo ho ho’ for a merry old time aboard ship. With 100% recycled jokes this panto is destined to reveal hidden treasure, so book your tickets now!

The WTG has members of all different ages (18 an above), skills and experience. We all work together to put on a great show. We always welcome and encourage new members to join and take part in whatever aspects of theatre production interests them, but also encouraged people to try and dip a toe outside of their comfort zone and try new things such as painting set, writing a script, acting on stage and controlling light and sound. Everything is important. It’s also a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
If you’re interested in joining, just pop along to the Arts Centre in Washington on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm and ask at reception for Washington Theatre Group. If you would like more information before taking the plunge please use the contact form on this page or on the Contact Us page.
NOTE: WTG is an adult theatre group, all members must be 18 years of age or above. For information about childrens theatre groups please contact the Arts Centre .
