I Thought I Heard A Rustling
Directed by John Appleton
Loveable Geordie con-artist Bill Robson thinks he's found the perfect job - after fooling a London council into hiring him as writer-in-residence, by submitting other people's poems. He's given an office at the library, but Head Librarian Ellen is soon onto him. However, when they discover the Council's plans to sell the library building to a supermarket, Bill's charm and cunning might, for once, be put to good use. A light-hearted, witty comedy from local writer Alan Plater (Close the Coalhouse Door, The Beiderbecke Affair).
